Rojas 10th Anniversary Cigar Review

Rojas 10th Anniversary Cigar Review: Smooth, Rich & Chocolatey

The Rojas 10th Anniversary is one of the more interesting cigars I’ve smoked from Noel Rojas.

With a dark Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, I expected considerably more pepper and spice. Instead, the profile is smooth, rich and surprisingly dessert-like.

The flavor comparison that immediately came to mind was oddly specific: chocolate eclair.

Rojas 10th Anniversary Flavor Profile

The first thing that stands out is how round and smooth the smoke feels.

There’s plenty of richness, but it never becomes heavy or aggressive. I get chocolate, cream and roasted nuts, with a darker tobacco character underneath that keeps the profile balanced.

The chocolate note isn't the bitter dark cocoa I get from a lot of maduro cigars. It's softer and creamier.

That's where the chocolate eclair comparison comes from.

Think chocolate icing, creamy pastry filling and a slightly toasted character underneath. Obviously, a cigar doesn't literally taste like eating an eclair, but it's the easiest way I can describe the combination.

Surprisingly Little Spice

This may be the most unusual part of the cigar for me.

With Nicaraguan tobacco and a maduro wrapper, I expected significantly more pepper. Instead, I get very little spice at all.

That allows the sweeter and creamier parts of the blend to stay at the center of the experience rather than being covered up by pepper.

For someone who enjoys maduro cigars but doesn't always want an aggressive profile, that's a big part of the appeal.

Strength and Body

I put the Rojas 10th Anniversary around medium strength, although the flavor and body feel richer than the nicotine strength would suggest.

You get plenty of depth without the cigar becoming overpowering.

It's a cigar you can sit down and analyze, but it doesn't demand your attention to be enjoyable.

Is the Rojas 10th Anniversary Worth Trying?

Absolutely.

What makes the Rojas 10th Anniversary stand out isn't simply that it's a good maduro. It's that it delivers the richness I want from one without relying on heavy pepper or strength to create intensity.

The result is a very approachable cigar with a distinctive profile that, for me, keeps coming back to that chocolate eclair comparison.

If you enjoy maduro cigars but prefer a smoother, more dessert-like profile, this is an easy one to recommend - especially while the limited release is still available.
